"And David shepherded them with integrity of heart;                                                                  with skillful hands he led them."

                                                                                        - Psalm 78.72

At LakePoint, one of our four basic core values is Authentic Worship. But what is that really? What does it look like? Well, simply defined, authentic worship occurs at the place where obedience meets transparency. Whenever we find ourselves in a position of obedience before God and are willing to be totally transparent, before Him and before others, we are finally willing to be real.. to be authentic. As for what that looks like, it will vary from person to person based upon our present life circumstance and our level of spiritual maturity.

As participants in the worship arts, we are here to devote ourselves not to performance but rather to service... first to our Lord, second to His body here at LakePoint and finally to the worship medium we find ourselves equipped for. He is the One who has gifted us, infused us with passion toward a craft and motivated us to prepare to deliver it, both as an offering to Him and to others.

Our mission then, as those involved in Worship Ministry is to be living models of Psalm 78.72, as we continually seek the proper balance of integrity and skill.
